Developer's Description
Create highly customized framelines and for ARRI ALEXA, AMIRA and SONY Venice and Burano digital cameras. Download frameleaders in pdf, png and svg. Design framelines for spherical and anamorphic formats. Offset and scaling options for each format allow designing framelines for the most unusual shooting requirements. Accurate frameline calculations are based on the camera sensor's actual pixel size.
The Frameline Generator Advanced is the brainchild of Andreas Weeber and Phil Gosiewski.
We started this project back in 2010 when the ARRI ALEXA was first released. After teaching introductory workshops for ALEXA and supporting the first productions with the new camera the demand for a comprehensive and flexible frameline generator became apparent.
From the beginning it was our intention to create a tool that makes our lives easier while working in the camera department of a major rental house, supporting digital projects every day. This tool transformed our ability to assist our clients and friends. Along the way it helps all of us to make better sense of the confusing world of sensor modes and aspect ratios.
Andreas works at ARRI in Munich. Phil is the Director of Technical Support at TCS in Brooklyn, New York.
